I will dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he remarked.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in rounds four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually going ahead.
